Patterdale Terrier History
Patterdale Terriers were developed in England’s Lake District to catch rats, foxes and rabbits. For many years, the Patterdale was found mainly in northern England—a well-kept secret among the locals. Tough and determined, the Patterdale Terrier continues to be cherished as a hard worker and a true friend.
