Pet Partners, a national organization that registers therapy animals, recently announced an animal-assisted crisis response (AACR) training program. The program will provide training and credentials for Pet Partners handlers on how to provide support and comfort when bringing therapy animals to visit with people affected by natural, human-caused or technological disasters. To qualify for the program, handlers must be 18 years of age or older and have been registered with Pet Partners for at least six months.
