Former “Walking Dead” actor Jon Bernthal may be busy prepping for his new role as The Punisher on “Daredevil,” Marvel’s comic book turned TV show for Netflix, but he always makes time to be a superhero to Pit Bulls. His most recent effort for the breed? Starring in a just-released PSA for Animal Farm Foundation.
As part of AFF’s Majority Project photo campaign, Bernthal hopes to destigmatize “Pit Bull” dogs and their loving owners. He posed for a picture with his own dogs, Boss and Venice, along with his two-year-old son, Billy, while holding a sign that reads, “I am a father. I am a “Pit Bull” dog owner. I am the MAJORITY.”

The actor’s love for his dogs does not go unnoticed by fans, as he frequently posts photos of them on social media. He makes his thoughts about breed-specific legislation clear in the PSA, saying “My dogs, Boss and Venice, are members of my family, and I love them just like they’re one of my kids. Just like us, dogs deserve to be treated as individuals. Laws that discriminate based on breed unfairly target not only dogs but also the innocent families who love and care for them.”

The PSA also includes other “Pit Bull” dogs and owners who took part in the Majority Project photo campaign. Among them are:
