Dear GiGi,
I love my partner, but she constantly talks over me and interrupts me. It’s like she’s not interested in what I have to say. Do you have any suggestions on how I can resolve this?
Thanks,
Ike

Dear Ike-an’t hear you!
(Sorry, I had to reread your e-mail a few times; I kept losing interest halfway through.)
Well, either you’re a little boring and she’s probably heard everything you have to say, or maybe she’s just a meany and doesn’t know what she’s missing by not letting you speak. Either way, you need to take action!
Start by talking louder and faster than she can. Keep going until you’re eventually screaming at the top of your lungs. She might get the hint and zip it.
If that doesn’t work, consider getting some props for sound effects. These will make your stories much more animated and interesting. Cowbell, kazoo, M-80s …
If none of those tips work, then I don’t know what to tell you, buddy — that’s some really good advice.
Ta,
GiGi
