We have a soft spot for Muttville Senior Dog Rescue. It’s based in San Francisco (like us). Our community manager, Lori Malm, rescued the notoriously bewitching one-eyed Pekingese Beasley from Muttville. Beasley was supposed to be just a foster — a temporary thing — but then she cast a spell of love on Lori, and foster became forever.
We hope the same thing can happen for these two pups.
Kobe is a blind chocolate Labrador who gets around with the help of her friend, Chuey the companion Chihuahua and seeing-eye dog. They were surrendered to a shelter for reasons unknown, and that’s when Muttville took them in. We can see why. They are so cute that Managing Editor Vicky Walker said, “LIZ YOU MUST WRITE ABOUT THESE DOGS!” And, because I love Labradors (and I’m just as obedient as one), I said, “Yes, ma’am!”
Kobe and Chuey are inseparable and spend most of their time snoozing, snuggled up together. According to Muttville, the dogs are really sweet natured and love to give kisses when they feel safe and stable.
All they really need is a quiet place to call home for the remainder of their days.
A Labrador and a Chihuahua! That’s a winning combination!
If you think you have a place for these two, check out their listing page on Muttville, where you can also find their adoption application.
We hope they find a good home — and soon!
