It’s been a harrowing week for us at Dogster. First we got a haunting glimpse into the final moments of stray dogs in Taiwan and then we found out that despite our best rallying efforts, Lennox became an innocent victim of injustice. But while we’re grieving, it’s important to remember that there are plenty of good, uplifting dog stories all around us.
For instance, here’s an adorable video of a Boston Terrier named Oscar snuggling up with a Guinea Pig named Cinnamon Spice, proving that contemptuous differences (like one might expect between a terrier and a rodent) are a learned thing, and just as easily as one can teach violence, one can also teach kindness and tolerance.
Or maybe it’s just Oscar’s clever way of beguiling the Guinea into becoming an easy dinner. Just kidding!
We’ve seen a lot of species co-habitating — cats and dogs, dogs and horses, and more — and if a dog can get it, we humans can get it too. Life is just so much easier when you can set aside your ego and your differences and live in peace and harmony with the world around you.
