Ah yes, glass doors, the evil nemesis of many a dog — and human. You think the door is open with the outside world glittering beyond it, beckoning you into its sunny arms. You go running at it full tilt, ready to burst into the fresh air with the singing birds and — POW! — you hit your head against a solid object with the force of a runaway freight train. You black out for a moment, come to, and hear laughter. You look more closely and, darn it, it’s a closed glass door. Life is so unfair sometimes.

Poor Buster must have been exceptionally traumatized by his last encounter with a closed glass door, because even though the door is wide open (as demonstrated by the other dog, who simply walks right over the threshold), he cautiously paws at the space where a door would be if it were closed. It might take years of work to help Buster overcome his Post-Traumatic Glass Door Syndrome, but maybe we can get him a therapy human to help him cope.
