In the latest installment of the never-ending saga that is “puppies will play with anyone or anything,” we bring you JoeJoe saying hello to his little friends.
To the untrained eye, the question undoubtably is: What in the world is JoeJoe? Glad you asked. JoeJoe is a capybara, a large rodent of the genus hydrochoerus. In other words, he is the largest rodent on the planet — besides the Easter Bunny.
Capybaras are described as a very social animal, and we can see why as it patiently allows these ridiculously cute Husky pups to frolic about him. Keeping a capybara as a pet is apparently illegal in some states. Boy, are they missing out.
In this video clip, JoeJoe takes a paternal stance over a pair of pups as they play underneath him. Next, we see JoeJoe surrounded by four tiny pups, with one giving JoeJoe a friendly kiss. JoeJoe shows remarkable patience as the pups use him as a furry jungle gym … or maybe he’s just really sleepy. The pups are way too busy inundating us with cuteness overload to notice JoeJoe catching some well-earned nap time.
In the final moments, the puppies learn a life lesson: Don’t give a capybara a mani or pedi unless you have permission first!
This is not Dogster’s first look at a capybara and some cute little pups. Here’s a flashback to 2013 and a capybara named Cheesecake and her puppy friends.
