Viva La Dog Spa recently took laser aim at a problem that’s devastating to dog owners: Dogs don’t smell floral enough. It’s really bad. Dogs smell like dogs. They smell nothing like flowers. Take any dog you meet — there’s a 100 percent chance he’ll smell like dog and a zero chance he’ll smell like flowers. It’s infuriating. It’s making us crazy.
Enter Viva La Dog Spa. The Cardinal Pet Care company felt our pain, holed up for months in its perfumery along the Champs Élysées in Paris (actually, it was an office park in Azuza, CA), and brought forth to the masses Devotion, a “designer fragrance” for dogs.
According to the company, it smells like flowers (yes!), comes in a “dramatic” plastic bottle with “a sophisticated French flair” (whatever you say, boss), and is “playful and feminine” (fine, wrap it up).
Say this line from the press release out loud: “Devotion is a relaxing blend of soft floral scents that intertwine with a powdery tone. Imagine a light mist of flowers with the soft scent of raspberry on a warm day.”
Did your dog just come into the room and lay his head on your leg? YOUR DOG WANTS SOFT RASPBERRES AND MISTS OF FLOWERS AND POWDERY SOMETHINGS!
He wants … Devotion.
