A couple of days ago, the Moultrie Colquitt County Humane Society in Georgia dropped a bomb on its Facebook page: A Pit Bull–Dachshund mix, with a face that screams “bad-ass wiener dog coming through, folks.”
Look at this incredible animal, who is currently up for adoption:
The people at the Humane Society knew they had a hit on their hands. Still, the Dachbull is not perfectly behaved and needs the right home, and they made sure to let everybody know in their post:
Hi! I’m Rami and I’m looking for my forever home. I’m a year old Dachshund/Pit Bull mix. Yes, you’re reading that right, and, no, you haven’t gone crazy. I’m full of energy. I don’t like walking on a leash. I’m a sweetie pie, and love to run. I don’t listen very well, so you’ll need to take some time to train me. Because I tend to be a bit hyper, I might not be the best addition to a household with little kids. But I’m sure that all I need is a little lovin’. Will you take me home? Call 229-985-5463.
A secondary issue: Should we call this magnificent creature a Dachbull?
Pitshund?
Wienerbull?
Pitwiener?
OK, that’s enough.
Two hours later, after watching the post soar past 29,000 views and 5,000 comments, staff were forced to add some video with the text proclaiming that the Dachbull (we’re going with Dachbull) was not some Photoshopped mutant.
“He is real!!” they wrote. “Pit Bull and Dachshund mix. If you are looking for a popular/unusual pet, then this is it.”
We think Rami is cute. Here’s a picture of Rami getting a bath:
What a dog.
