Meet Maymo, a Lemon Beagle, who, despite his breed name, doesn’t actually like lemons. Confronted with a slice of lemon, Maymo the Lemon Beagle flips out because the “fruit of the poor lemon is impossible to eat,” and yet he can’t stand being curious about the bright yellow fruit, pawing and biting at it, and inviting it to play, even bringing it into his bed to see whether that will allay its tartiness. (It doesn’t.)

But do you know what Maymo does really like? His toy mouse! Guess what, cats? You aren’t the only ones who flip for rodents. Maymo gets giddy for his mouse toy, bowing and snapping and pawing, and being generally adorable. On second thought, from the way Maymo is playing, we’re not sure whether he’s really a cat in a Beagle costume.

Or maybe Maymo is Yoda disguised as a Beagle. Look at this video of him making some doggie treats levitate. We can definitely see the resemblance — look at those ears!

Oh, don’t worry — Maymo eats a perfectly balanced diet. Just look at the way he can’t resist this cabbage! We’ve never seen a dog get so excited for something green!
