Consider the widely lauded traits of the noble dog: man’s very bestest friend, an unerringly faithful and loyal creature, and an athletic animal blessed with an Olympian-esque ability in the field.
Well, at least in theory. Sometimes, you see, dogs just cannot quite manage to get a handle on the basics of coordination, especially when it comes to attempting to catch or fetch a playful object — as a new compilation video titled Dog Fetch Fails shows in supreme LOL-worthy fashion.
Some highlights before you peruse the flick in full below: a French Bulldog‘s painstaking attempts to snaffle a devious tennis ball hiding on a couch! A Dachshund dog with a habit of running the total opposite way to a ball that has just been thrown by his trickster master! And many, many cases of epic treat-catching failure!
So let’s give a salute to these fine canines who are embracing their fetch failures with much pride and dignity. Or maybe these dogs are simply so smart they’ve decided that the inherent futility of the fetch-and-return loop is not for them? Decide for yourself below.
