A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away …

Though the Dog Star has been destroyed, chaos still rules the universe (also known as the living room floor).

It’s a battle of good against evil — dog against child — and the final showdown is epic. Epically cute, that is.

Here are three things we love: a dog, a kid, and a Star Wars reference. Using some old Jedi tricks, the dog in this video forces us to giggle, and we’re forced to yield to how adorable he is. The dog’s cuteness is totally disarming, but he sure knows how to wield a lightsaber — and he doesn’t even have thumbs! And we know this isn’t Kidster.com, but the giggly little human cub in this video is also pretty adorable. It’s a battle of cute … with lightsabers!

Red lightsabers are traditionally reserved for the Dark Side, but in this case, it’s the Dog Side.

We’re glad to see that the director of this video (also known as “dad”) is carefully supervising the battle and calls a victory before the game gets too rambunctious.

We love watching the dog and the kid play — the dog looks like he is genuinely enjoying himself and even knows what’s going on, participating in the game at the same level as the kid.
