You know the classic stereotype: mailman tries to deliver the mail, dog freaks out and barks her head off, and the mailman flees in terror from the porch, continuing a vicious cycle of needless animosity.
But what happens when the natural enemies decide to work together? Then you benefit and everyone is happy!
This Golden Retriever and her regular mail carrier have come to a helpful truce wherein the Goldie peacefully and calmly fetches the mail when she sees the mail truck roll up. She then dutifully brings the mail back to her family, mercifully tearing up any bills or otherwise distressing correspondences (just kidding about that — the dog does no such thing). So not only does Goldie fetch the mail, she sorts it as well. She’s like a secretary. Now that’s really taking her dog role to the max!
So Postal Service workers, if you’ve got this dog on your route, make sure to carry some doggie biscuits with you. Helpful little doggies like this one deserve a treat for their excellent behavior!
