When you were a kid, did your parents ever tell you to quit playing with your food?
These puppies have made playmates out of fruit, but we’re not going to tell them to stop anytime soon.
Though a twist of lemon is always a welcome addition to tall cold glass of soda, they are not particularly edible fruit. If you’re this curious Bernese Mountain Dog puppy, however, a lemon can be a perfectly exciting playmate.
Watching this puppy paw at half a lemon, shaking her head and body with glee, makes us want to get up and dance. At just 8 weeks old, everything in the world is a new experience for little Nilah. When confronted with the “impossible fruit” of the lemon, she isn’t quite sure what to do, so she does what any puppy would do — she tries to get the lemon to play with her with a wiggly bow, the universal dog sign for “Let’s have some fun!”
The lemon may be a bit of a sour playmate, but watching Nilah squirm and shake invites our faces to smile. We bet you can’t watch this without giggling!
In other puppy-fruit interactions, an 11-week-old Shiba Inu puppy named Tsuki meets a small watermelon for the first time and can’t decide if it’s a friend or a foe. One thing’s for sure: We’ve got our cute fix for the day.
