Your loyal Cuteness Correspondent strives to bring you the very best in adorableness every day — because, hey, we all need a little cute in our lives. Is that superficial? Of course not! If watching a cute dog video makes you happy, and then you treat the next person you encounter with kindness because you feel good, then maybe I’ve helped you make the world a better place. I don’t always write about the cutest stuff, because sometimes a sobering dose of reality can also act as an impetus for change. But, for the most part, I’d like to make you happy any way I can.

Which is why when I came across these videos of these awww-dorable Shiba Inus, I just had to share them with you!

To my dismay, I can’t read Japanese, but I can tell that these are a pair of well-loved Shiba Inus, and, thankfully, the language of cute is universal, so we can all understand just how adorable these pups are!

Maybe because my family dog is an Akita that I am predisposed to favor ancient Japanese dogs, but I just can’t get enough of their curly tails, stocky bodies, and fluffy double coats!
