I wear my love for my dog on my sleeve quite loudly and literally – his dashing profile sits on my left arm as part of an elaborate (and still in-progress) tattoo. But most dog moms are a little shyer about flying the pet parent flag high, and for these classy broads we have these delicate Morse code necklaces by Coatt.

I came across Coatt at a Fab holiday sale last year and promptly picked up two necklaces that featured the word “sister” in slender gold fill dots and dashes on a pink silk cord. My sisters were thrilled with their presents, and I was thrilled when I visited Coatt’s home site and found that one of their necklaces featured the code for “Dog My Dog.” (Not that you care, but the editor in me is going to insist on “Dog, My Dog” if I decide to treat myself to one of these someday. But then again, the code for “comma” might take up too much room.)

If that phrase isn’t for you, there’s always the custom option — get your pup’s name or a phrase of your choice in dots and dashes, and the folks at work will be none the wiser about your secret crazy dog lady identity.
