At Dogster’s World Headquarters, we’re constantly faced with choosing the perfect pooch photos to complement our stories. As we recently told you, the folks at Bing challenged our writers and editors to take the Bing It On challenge to find the best dog images on the Internet. We accepted that challenge and found that Bing beat Google in four of five of our searches.
Now we’re challenging you, our delightful Dogster readers, to jump over to BingItOn.com and join the over 10 million people who have already tried it. You’ve logged enough hours ogling funny and super-sweet dog photos, right? So you’re definitely an expert at identifying quality canine pics!
As if looking at adorable dog images isn’t enough of a reward for taking the challenge, we’re giving away a $250 VISA gift card to one lucky participant!* (You can always donate it to your favorite rescue if you don’t want to hoard your winnings to yourself.)
But before we get started, let’s review how BingItOn.com works. After accessing the site, type the search words in the bar at the top of the page. Don’t worry, later in this post we’ll give you the search words we’d like you to use for the challenge.
Using one of the last post’s examples, let’s say we wanted to look for “Corgi Puppies.” Remember, the results are unmarked — we have no idea which is Bing and which is Google.
After examining the results, we preferred the images on the right, so we clicked on the box above the right search engine, which we later discovered was Bing.
We can’t say no to a puppy belly — we’re only human!
