Editor’s note: Have you seen the new Dogster print magazine in stores? Or in the waiting room of your vet’s office? This article appeared in our June/July issue. Subscribe to Dogster and get the bi-monthly magazine delivered to your home.
This summer we’re all about adding that splash of color or streak of whimsy to your dog’s wardrobe and your own. Here are our favorite ways to brighten up everything from your back patio to your next glamping trip (that’s “glamorous camping” for those of you rightfully raising an eyebrow at this juncture).
The Snack-DuO by Dexas
The Snack-DuO from Dexas won best in show in the dog category at this year’s Global Pet Expo for a reason: It’s really simple and yet really clever. One side of the portable container delivers a 12-ounce drink for your pet, while the other holds a crunchy snack.
But if you’re looking for a version that offers more of a bonding experience, you can opt for their H-DuO, which features two water chambers instead — that’s one for your dog and another for you!

The Outdoor Bed Collection from P.l.A.Y.
Finally, a poolside lounger for your pup that’s equal parts comfy and durable. These outdoor beds from P.L.A.Y. are waterproof, UV-resistant, machine- washable, and stuffed with filler spun from recycled plastic bottles.
The brand partnered with San Francisco designer Dave Collins to bring us this simple yet playful chevron design, which will look smashing in your yard — just add sunshine.

XX Bandana Collar by Wildebeest
Wildebeest’s signature double-sided bandana is a favorite of canine fashionistas who can’t decide on a pattern. For the price of one bandana collar, you get two!
Our favorite from their summer collection is the XX Bandana Collar in Camp Gold, which features geometry in our favorite summer colors on the front and turquoise fireworks at the back. These will fit dogs with neck circumferences ranging from 8 to 25 inches.

Skipping Stones by Kurgo
If you’ve got a dog who can’t get enough of fetching things from large bodies of water, you might want to trade that slimy ball for some Skipping Stones. True to their name, you can skip them on the water, which adds an extra element of fun to the traditional toss game.
They float, come in lime, teal, and orange (and in packs of two) and are dishwasher-safe.
