In this clip (which might become a feature film), a couple treats its dog like a baby. Sound familiar?

Creative collaborators Kasi Brown and Brandon Walter met at the Upright Citizens Brigade, where they discovered that they have comedy chemistry. Bouncing ideas back and forth like Boston Terriers with an oversized ball, the pair came up with a successful Web series venture called Mother Approved.

Armed with confidence, Kasi and Brandon are now set on producing a feature film about a childless couple who go on a journey to recover their dognapped fur baby, Laila — a Yorkie the couple treats as if she were their very own child.

In the Gone Doggy Gone script, the couple encounters a series of hilarious obstacles as they pursue the person who dognapped Laila. On their journey, they uncover insights into themselves.

If this sounds like something you would do, then check out Kasi and Brandon’s Indiegogo page to see how you can help contribute to the making of their film, because what’s better than dog lovers supporting the creative efforts of other dog lovers? Especially when it comes to a story that resonates with so many of us (we know who you are!).

Check out their Indiegogo video below, which includes an introduction to Laila the dog.
