July the 6th is National Kissing Day in the United Kingdom. This holiday has recently been adopted worldwide, makingtoday International Kissing Day or World Kiss Day.
So, grabthe nearestdog and celebrate, Dogsters!
The idea behind the International Kissing Day is that many people may have forgotten the simple pleasures associated with kissing for kissing’s sake, as opposed to kissing as mere social formalityor prelude to other activities (i.e. foreplay).
Finally, we humansare beginning toappreciate what our dogs have always known: That kissing can be an enjoyable experience in and of itself. It is an expression and experience of intimacy. There’s simply no better way to consummate the canine-human bond.
If you’re worried about swapping spit with Spot, don’t be – a dog’s saliva is cleaner than any human’s! But if you’re still worried, keep CleanWell sanitizing wipes handy; they’re gentle enough to use on the face – yours orthe dog’s.
My dog Sheba (pictured above) gives the best kisses ever: Soft, tenderand gentle. And she’s very generous with them. Then again, there’s nothing in the world quite like a pit bull kiss: full-throttle passionate, like everything else these magnificent creatures do!
And puppy kisses… well, it goes without saying that those are the sweetest, most delicious of all.
What’s the best K9 kiss you ever received? Please spare no detail in the comments!
May you receive many warm, wet, sloppyones today…
