A Jack Russell terrier’s penchant for chasing cats landed her in what could have been her final resting place, 12 feet underground, beneath two giant boulders totaling more than 50 tons. But her owner moved heaven and loads of earth to get her out, and paid $2,000 for rescuers and special equipment after family efforts failed to extricate her.

With a great rescue team, persistence on her owner’s part, resilience on little Jessie’s part, and bits of liver handed down via a length of fencing wire, Jessie made it back up to ground level a week after she chased a feral cat while rabbit hunting. She was a little dehydrated but otherwise healthy. She leaped into her owner’s arms as soon as she was sprung.

The video below tells her the basics, but you can get more details from this Yahoo News story.
