It’s been a while since Kate Spade has decorated with dogs. I know this because I started following the brand obsessively late last year and was bummed I didn’t start sooner — during the period they collaborated with artist Maria Kalman and came out with these pup-inspired totes (and even a dog carrier), in particular.
On a recent window shopping excursion with Community Manager Lori Malm, we stopped by the brand’s flagship store in downtown San Francisco, and delighted in seeing two of our great loves (houndstooth and Scottish Terriers) decorating one of Spade’s iPhone shells. The resin case fits iPhone 4 and 4s models and retails for $40.
“Have you seen the matching earrings?” asked a saleswoman, pulling us towards the jewelry racks. We hadn’t, and while less animated than the iPhone Scotties, they were certainly blingy:
Kate Spade’s terrier earrings retail for $48, and are gold-plated metal.
Both earrings and iPhone case are a nod to Creative Director Deborah Lloyd’s own dog, Harry Winston Churchill. We love that!
