Recently Dog Milk featured Design Crush’s Kelly Beall and her pup, Piper. A fan of Kelly’s work, Dog Milk’s Capree Kimball (who has her own adorable dog, Wrigley) asked the graphic designer and creative consultant to share how Piper came into her life.
Like most of us, Kelly has a host of nicknames for her precious pet, but what we loved best is that her official middle name is Betrille, after The Flying Nun. According to Kelly, when Piper hears something intriguing, she perks her ears up, which makes her look like the character from the ’60s sitcom.
So how did Piper and Kelly meet? Like most of us, Kelly didn’t have to look far — Piper found her. After buying a house, Kelly decided she wouldn’t commit to getting a dog until she committed to installing a fence around her home. Once the fence was up, Piper came strolling in a month later via an acquaintance’s post about a dog she was fostering. It’s the vet’s guess that the little rescue is part Manchester Terrier and part Jack Russell.
Piper loves a good game of tug of war, which Kelly describes as her favorite hobby. And though Kelly calls Piper a “bull in a china shop,” it turns out the pup is also quite the couch potato, as that’s one of her choice places to nap.
Thanks to Capree at Dog Milk and to Kelly for sharing Piper with us.
