Have your dogs been naughty or nice this year? If they’re anything like our Rocky, it’s probably a healthy mix of both. Sure, Rocky is considered a “little angel” at daycare, setting a good example for proper behavior to all his puppy friends. But at home, he barks at animals on the TV and shamelessly manipulates his defenseless parents to get treats. Oh, that poor sad face!

Now Rocky, and dogs and cats everywhere, can make their case directly to Santa Paws. FURminator, the best friend to owners of long- and short-hair pets alike in the never-ending battle against shedding, has created a letter-to-Santa generator that puts your furry friend’s Christmas wishes on the fast track to the North Pole.

At the FURminator website, you start by selecting words or phrases, Mad Libs-style, based on your pet’s personality. Is he goofy? Is she a diva? By selecting one of five personality traits, the generator allows you to tailor the letter, and even lets you include a picture of your dog or cat to melt Santa’s heart.

Once you’ve finished entering the random phrases, the generator composes the letter, signed by your pet. The results will fill you with holiday cheer, and you can share it on Facebook and Twitter, and email it to your friends -– furry and otherwise.

For instance, Rocky, a diva if there ever was one, penned a letter that goes like this. Generated phrases in bold:

Santa,

Please be a doll and don’t wake me up when you come in through wherever you find a place to squeeze your belly on Christmas Eve. I haven’t been sleeping well lately — I’m starting to get dark circles under my fur. Just drop off filet mignon, a fluffy bath robe and a Bejeweled® collar. Oh, and you can also bring something for Mommy if you want to.

Kisses!

Rocky

Give it a try, and please share your pet’s letter in the comments!
