Please take a look at this story and see how one little dog has affected
a great number of people. The story continues as Andy’s owners had to put
down their beloved German Shepherd Gretchen on Wednesday. As you know it
often takes a village to accomplish great things and the power of pets
speaks volumes. Something special is going on here and I think you could bethe person to help get the story out there. The more awareness we can
create the greater chance Andy has of getting home. Thank you for your
time.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 1, 2012

WESTPORT AND NORWALK, CONNECTICUT-Frightened by fireworks on New Years
Eve, Jordina Ghiggeris 11-year-old beloved Corgi, Andy, went missing in
Westport, Connecticut. A horse trainer from Massachusetts, Jordina has
remained in Connecticut to find her sweet boy. While four long weeks have
passed, Jordina refuses to give up hope.

What is truly remarkable about this story is the outpouring of love from
the Connecticut community and beyond. As Jordina and her husband Michael
continue their search, folks world-wide have rallied to Bring Andy Home.
Volunteers brought together through social media and the understanding of
the love for a dog, have contributed by fundraising, developing websites,
distributing flyers, and in pounding the pavement day and night. Andy &Jordina continue to find themselves in the center of a growing circle of
kind hearted people willing to dedicate time, money, effort, and support toreunite Andy with his Mom.

The Bring Andy Home Facebook page currently has over 2400 followers and is
growing daily. Most recent developments include a large group from “Team
Andy” on a well co-ordinated late night mission last week. Searchers
reported multiple sightings which led to the discovery of his suspected
den. In following days humane traps and video cameras were set in hope of
containing Andy. While Andy has remained elusive, his team successfully
rescued another lost dog! Lana, a beautiful Sheltie-mix, was recovered
Monday night in traps that had been set for Andy. Working together with
local residents and the all volunteer organization Granite State Dog
Recovery, the dog was identified as missing from that area. She had been
living on her own since July 2010. Lana is currently at the Westchester
SPCA where she is receiving necessary care.

Please help share this story. Andy may be lost but he has found his way
into the hearts of many. Together we can turn heartbreak into homecoming!
