One of my favorite things to do on a Friday night (likely because I have no life) is visit eBay and type in the words “Lulu Guinness dog.” This little search has gotten me in trouble on several occasions, including the time it produced the crazy dog house purse you see at left. Fortunately for me, the seller was local and I got an incredible bargain. But on the flipside, my giddy purchase did nothing but cement my reputation as the company’s resident crazy dog lady.
I’ve been known to wear my love for dogs on my sleeves (my dog is quite literally inked in several places on my sleeve), and my closet houses the largest collection of dog-themed scarves and clothing this side of the coast. So one more little purse wasn’t going to hurt, right? Right?
The trouble with loving UK designer Lulu Guinness is there’s always going to be another dog-themed purse. And while my closet and wallet couldn’t quite accommodate them all, it’s always fun to see what she comes up with. Here are some of my favorites from over the years:
1. Her “Two of a Kind” print, based on a pair of ceramic pups from the 1950s, graced a small handbag, large tote, coin purse, umbrella, and more.
2. Her Dachshund purse, complete with chain “leash.”
3. Her suede embroidered Pekingese clutch.
4. Her framed coin purses.
5. Her Standard Poodle tote.
