We love our dogs sooo much, and as we found out, some of you love your dogs so much that you kiss them on the mouth! But while you may dutifully brush your dog’s teeth, that doesn’t do anything to help the stinky bacteria that resides on her tongue and gives your dog that signature dog breath. Dogs — fortunately and unfortunately — aren’t really self-conscious, so you can’t leave it up to your pup to do something about that halitosis. Say hi to the Orapup.
Using a dog’s natural inclination to lick (anything and everything), the Orapup works on the same principle as the Orabrush, scraping away bad-breath-causing bacteria with a gently bristled brush. Because dogs don’t have thumbs, the brush was redesigned to make more sense from a canine point of view. By applying a delicious plaque-fighting paste (that’s safe enough even for humans to eat) to a specially designed brush, dogs lick the Orapup as they naturally would and the bacteria is removed from their tongues.
The Orapup folks launched an Indiegogo campaign to help raise money, and they met their goal. Check out the successful Indiegogo campaign here to learn more about the Orapup.
