November is the time of year when men stop shaving for 30 days in a bid to raise money and awareness for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men’s mental health. The effort is called Movember, and the event has quickly become one of the world’s favorite charitable drives. It’s no surprise then that our bushy canine pals have also found a way to get in on the bearded shenanigans.
Here’s an inside look into how the dogs of the world are taking to Movember in their own shaggy fashion.

First up, can we nominate this Texan Poodle as the king of all bearded dogs? Check out how this refined pooch’s beard sways in the wind! Breathtaking.

Seriously, just look at the bushy heft he has going on here! Okay, jealously over. Now let’s move on to the rest of the bearded bunch.
Serious stubble game

This Schnauzer excels at pulling off a captivatingly intense and serious look. The ginger-tinted mustache he’s cultivated brings to mind visions of brawny Viking warriors from seafaring days gone by.
A hero for the ages

For reasons that I cannot really fathom, this little guy’s tufty facial hair makes him look like a canine version of international terrorism fighter Jack Bauer from the TV show 24. Let’s give him a patriotic salute and move on.

Not all of us are capable of cultivating a marvelous spread of facial hair. It’s a predicament that this chap fully understands. But rather than getting down in the doldrums over his lack of hirsute appeal, he’s used his smarts and affixed a fake beard to his face. Why, you can barely tell at all, right?

Alternatively, this Bernese Mountain Dog has decided to take a comical approach to the beard game, choosing to doll himself up in some suds. General hilarity will most surely ensue!
An organic enhancement

Our friend here may not be able to boast one of the all-time great dog beards, but he’s used the natural resources around him to slick and style his patch up into a dramatic goatee. Impressive improvising, I’m sure you’ll agree.
Great grooming

Another approach to excelling in the art of the canine beard is to play your snout hair off against your body hair. This pup here is a student of the method: He’s received a sharp haircut but has wisely decided to leave his facial accoutrements alone, thereby accentuating his beard.
The only rule of dog beards …

By now, you’ll have realized that the world of dog beards is a varied and visionary place that rewards creativity and individuality. There is simply one cardinal rule that you must follow: Never ever look like a hipster dog.
