Now that it’s officially summer, let’s roll out our videos of dogs hanging out poolside.

Here in San Francisco, where Dogster HQ is located, we’re unfortunately experiencing a little June gloom and pools are scarce … but hey, we can always dream, right?

So we’re going to dream along with this little doggie, who does his own reenactment of the pool scene from The Graduate. Perhaps feeling a little Ben Braddock (here’s to you, Mrs. Robinson!), this Jack Russell decides to hang out on a floating pool raft. But when he can’t quite relax — after all, there’s no drink holder for his margarita — he decides to bail and jump for dry land. The raft, however, doesn’t prove stable ground to leap from. Not quite able to achieve a good jump, the pup doesn’t clear the water, and ends up making quite a splash.

Good thing it looks nice and sunny in the video. A dip in the pool probably did the little guy good. After all, who doesn’t enjoy a cool, refreshing swim on a hot day? And it sounds like he’s got his human on hand to help him out of the water if he can’t get out on his own.
