Grrreetings from the Plaza de Santa Ana in magnificent Madrid, Spain!

That’s what this fetching Madrilena mutt (pictured above) seemed to be saying as she ran around, pausing to make friends with all who crossed her path the two- and four-footed. She is pictured here wagging goodbye to two of her mutt acquaintancesas they depart after an aerobic off-leash socializing session.

Around7 p.m. i.e. after work and before dinner is prime time for the mutts of Madrid to meet and mingle. Call it K9Happy Hour.

I can think of no nicer way to make this Dogster feel right at home while she’s far away from it.

Meanwhile, in case you were wondering how to say woof in Spanish, the sign (above) at a nearby Internet cafe explains it.

Woof en Espanol is guau. As in, guau-guau! (Sounds a lot like bow-wow, doesn’t it?) Learning a newtongue is always more fun when dog-related phrases are part ofthe linguistic crash course!
