It’s prom season — and who says dogs can’t get a piece of the prom pie?
Last week, Rover’s Playhouse in Fargo, North Dakota, hosted its fourth annual puppy prom, inviting pooches to don their best dress for this year’s theme: “Howl”ywood Hills Prom. Rover’s Playhouse is a doggie daycare that also hosts puppy training classes. It’s been throwing Puppy Prom for the past four years. Last year’s theme was Love Furever.
This year’s event was quite a lavish affair, complete with a red carpet walk, pup-parazzi photos, a crowning ceremony, prizes, food, and a screening of Disney’s Lady and the Tramp. If that doesn’t sound like a good time to you, we don’t know what does!
According to the pups, prom was a blast, with everyone dressed to the nines and full of festive spirit — they didn’t even need to spike the punch bowl to have a good time!
After their red carpet strut and a grand march, the canines were treated to delicious dog-friendly snacks, bubbles, and peanut butter popsicles. Popular pups Doyle and Zoie were crowned Puppy Prom King and Queen, and then everyone sat down to some classic canine cinema.
Everyone went home smiling and tail-wagging, making the night a successful one for Rover’s Playhouse.
