Ever feel like no one is listening to you? Like, maybe, say, you're trying to play fetch with a statue?

We’ve all had days like this. All you want to do is play a little fetch. You grab your favorite stick. You drop it at the feet of someone who seems like a willing participant, then you bow down and get ready to dart after it … only the pitch never comes. And you can’t quite figure out why the human figure seated in front of you won’t throw the darn stick … because you’re a dog and you don’t realize you’re trying to play fetch with a statue.

Oh, cruel deceptive world! Don’t worry, dog friend, it happens to the best of us!

In the dog’s defense, this statue is very realistic. How many times have you been startled by one of these things? What’s the point of them, anyway? It’s a waste of a perfectly good bench! If it can fool this dog, then it must be a pretty real-looking statue.

The dog is pretty determined, probably thinking that maybe the human is just a little slow and doesn’t quite get the game. We sure hope someone finally stepped in and threw that stick for him, otherwise that would be really frustrating! (How about you, person with camera?!)

Has your dog ever been tricked by one of these statues? How long did it take him to figure out?
