Dog Island Hoax

Is this for real: http://www.thedogisland.com/. People who want to free-range their dogs can purportedly send them to live out their days on big dog island or small dog island for free!

Have you ever seen dogs living on their own? Holy dog fight, Batman! They even claim to have visiting days (“So, before we set out I just want to make sure everyone has signed their rabies waiver”) . Does anyone know anything about this? We’d love to know the deal.

I’d go visit but it’s booked for the next 12 years and there are no ‘poor’ accommodations.
