We’ve had desktop caddies before, but they were never as loving, loyal, or just plain cute as this dog desktop caddy by Buenos Aires-based Vacavaliente.

Not that inanimate objects are loving or loyal, but it’s not hard to pretend when we get back to our desk after a grueling meeting and see this happy little guy sitting there with all our favorite pens. Who’s a good boy?! We can almost see his recycled-leather tail wag.

We first ran across our new desk pet at a Fab sale in January … it’s now June and he still hasn’t got a name (for shame!) outside “Caddy.” If you can think of something more original, please help us out in the comments.

Here’s what he looks like at the Dogster offices. We especially like that he can carry a stack of business cards or sticky notes in his mouth. Fetch, boy, fetch!

Vacavaliente crafts its animal caddies from bonded leather (composed of leather fibers gleaned from craft scraps) that generally winds up in landfills, so our puppy is just as earth-friendly as he is pretty.
