Mike Mezul II is a photographer who lives in Texas along with his rescue dog, Joplin. Together, they search Tornado Alley for extreme weather conditions to document. Mike’s turned their adventures into a photo series he calls “The Dog Days of Chasing,” which features stunning environmental scenes such as immense thunderstorms, frenzied lightning, and “tornadoes spinning like tops across the horizon.”

Here’s a snapshot of Mike and Joplin’s weather-chasing feats, and not to worry: Mike keeps Joplin safely on leash when they are approaching dangerous weather.
