Dear GiGi,

I love my dog and she loves me, but none of my friends like her because she barks at them and sounds mean! Pretty soon they’re going to stop coming over. What do I do?

Dear SNoG,

I, for one, find myself to be an excellent judge of character. Either I like you, or I don’t. Some think it’s based on how many treats you give me, but no amount of treats will keep me from talking smack about you if I don’t like you. (But, of course, that should NOT deter anyone from giving me treats!)

Granted, your dog could be a total jerk, or maybe she’s acting the way you wish you could … transference, anyone? So I think it’s time you and your dog get to the bottom of it. Either she’s feeling threatened by people in her space and needs some extra reassurance that they can hang out with you, or you need to find friends who don’t suck.

And again, keep those treats coming so I won’t Tweet about this.
