Wildside Kennels is a breeder of Pit Bulls, according to authorities that isn’t the only thing they’re doing. On the website it claims “No dogs bred, raised, or sold for illegal purposes!”, but on Wednesday the facility was raided.

Three people believed to be involved in a dogfighting operation run out of the kennel were arrested and 127 dogs were seized.

The apparent owner of the operation, Ed Faron, and two others — Amanda Lunsford and Donni Juan Cassanova — each were charged with one count of felony dogfighting and baiting. Authorities said additional charges are pending.

The raid was the culmination of a three-year investigation by the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office, Wilkes County Animal Control agency and The Humane Society of the United States.

According to a news release from The Humane Society, authorities found suspected dogfighting paraphernalia on the property and several dogs had scars consistent with dogfighting.

Owner Ed Faron has been convicted on dogfighting charges before, and is well known on the dogfighting circuit. Unbelievable that this person has a prior conviction and was allowed to continue his kennel operation.

The laws need to be changed so any person convicted on a dogfighting charge immediately has their operation shut down, forever. The dogs that were killed from this disgusting “sport” didn’t get a second chance, why should the person behind the operation.

How many more dogs need to die or be maimed for the laws to change?
