Training takes time — and plenty of positive rewards such as treats. To help with the process, In the Company of Animals and Spring Naturals have teamed up to give five Dogster readers a Train & Treat Prize each.
The prize includes the new Halti Optifit head collar from In the Company of Animals. Designed by company founder and animal psychologist Roger Mugford, the nylon head collar fits comfortably around a dog’s face thanks to total adjustability and internal padding.
If the dog pulls or lunges while on the leash, the head collar transfers the forward motion to turn his or her head sideways, discouraging the behavior. The head collar even features reflective strips for added visibility when walking at night.
The prize also comes with a bag of Spring Naturals baked treats. Available in beef, chicken and lamb, turkey, and turkey and salmon, each flavor also contains whole veggies, fruits and grains, but no wheat, gluten, corn, soy, by-products, or artificial preservatives, flavors or colors.
I can vouch for these treats personally, as my dogs are big fans of the beef flavor. Spot and Dolly get them as rewards for good behavior during our walks around the neighborhood.
